VPSS Facilities

The school has an excellent collection of facilities to support our teaching and learning programs. The teaching spaces range from the latest designs, through to older traditional style classrooms allowing for a range of teaching styles. Our Music Block contains specially designed sound-proof music practice rooms as well as a modern classroom which is used by our music teachers to provide music lessons to all students. The school library boasts an outstanding collection of books and reference material as well as a network of 20 computers, all linked to the Internet and to our collection of CD-Rom reference software.

During the past 2 years our school has spent more than $150,000.00 upgrading and expanding our technology resources. Now every child has access to at least two modern computer systems within their classroom, as well as being able to access the Internet, email and the school's CD-Rom reference resources. The school has established a unique optical fibre network combined with a radio network, which means that our students are able to access all of our network resources either from their classrooms or anywhere within the school grounds. Every class block has a collection of laser printers and colour inkjet printers.

Our extensive grounds contain large playing fields, covered play areas, cricket pitches, landscaped garden areas, and 3 adventure playgrounds. The latest playground has only just been built thanks to a $25,000.00 grant from our Parents & Citizens' Association.

Within our school grounds we have planted a large number of eucalypt trees to support the many koalas who make their homes at our school. All of our grounds facilities are maintained by our grounds staff, supported by the school's environmental clubs and volunteers from within our community.
